Liam was born on August 29, 1993, 3 weeks earlier from the expected date. 

He"s from Wolverhampton, West Midlands, England, 

His mother is Karen and his father is Geoff. Liam has 2 older sisters, Ruth and Nicola.

Liam took up boxing lessons at the age of 12 because he was bullied; it gave him confidence and did pretty well over the next couple of years.

Payne first auditioned in X Factor in 2008 when he was only 14 years old but Simon Cowell thought that he wasn"t ready and told him to come back after 2 years. He came back in 2010 X Factor"s 7th series, exactly after 2 years. He sung "Cry Me a River", received a standing ovation but rejected at boot camp after singing "Stop Crying Your Heart Out ", then put into One Direction.
